Meditating 5 minutes a day can drastically improve your life. How? It makes you become more self-aware, more mindful and creates clarity for you to pursue your dreams and goals in life.

Here is how Meditation can improve your life:

Mindfullness

Meditation helps you to be more mindful in all aspects of life, this means that you are more self aware which allows you to take better decisions. I experience this when it comes to my daily activities, it helped me to focus on the most important tasks I want to accomplish and actually accomplishing them. I also experience this when it comes to eating and drinking, I make better food choices, enjoy my meals more, eat slower and avoid rushing.

Reduces stress

You can focus more on the task at hand without thinking about about all the things that still need to be done. This helps you to relax, be more self conscious, concentrate better and to get things done more effectively.

Increases Productivity

As you become more self-aware and can focus better on your tasks, you will be much more productive. You will reduce your procrastination habits which allows you to get more done in a day.

Happiness

Meditating improves your connection to your inner self which in return helps you to concentrate on what you truly value in life. By focusing on your values and what makes you happy you will automatically express this positive energy in life. As you express more positive energy, you will receive more positive energy from other people and (this might sound funny) from the universe.

Eliminates Anxiety

Anxiety is a feeling of fear that you can get when thinking of the future. Meditating helps you to live in the moment instead of the future or the past, this helps you to get over anxiety when it arrises or fears that come from past experiences.

Improves your quality of sleep

Meditating helps you to be at rest in your mind and body, which helps you to get a better rest and a deeper sleep. Since I have been meditating I found that I have been dreaming a lot more and even remembering my dreams (which I never used to do). This shows that you can actually improve your sleep quality as well as your short term memory.

5 min Mediation Challenge

I want to challenge you guys to meditate once a day for 5 minutes and see the benefits yourself! If you are new to meditation I would recommend you to listen to either a meditation podcast, youtube video or relaxing music that will help you get into the right zone. If you do not know how to meditate I can make a post about that, what do you think?

Please let me know if you are interested in these kind of posts. I would love to share more about meditation, mindfulness, spirituality etc. on my blog as I have integrated these practices into my life and feel like a different and better person. I would love to show and teach you what I am doing so you can improve your wellbeing and be a better person yourself!

Love, Chiara

You’re very beautiful and inspiring, keep up the good work. Meditation is a frame of mind. One should be able to do it all day long. One of my favorite Bible verses has meditate in it, you’ll find it in Psalm chapter 1 🙂
